Omaha's Candlelight Lounge
About Omaha’s Candlelight Lounge
The Candlelight Lounge opened in 1968 as a very small bar and has expanded several times over the years. Today, we are a neighborhood bar and restaurant, and we have a DJ on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. We have a full service bar and feature 18 different beers on tap. We do have a few handles that we rotate to offer seasonal selections, but we always have your favorites available.
Our restaurant features daily specials and is open Monday through Friday, as well as for all Husker games.
We are family friendly, and we have Keno, darts, 3 pool tables, Golden Tee, pinball, and TVs everywhere. We have 2 large projection screens, so there is not a bad seat in the ‘light when it comes to watching your favorite game.
Being conveniently located between downtown and West Omaha and having plenty of seating and parking make us a great place for business professionals to meet their clients for lunch or happy hour.
As you can imagine, we get a lot of questions about our mural. It was painted by artist Tom Meyers, who is from “the neighborhood”. He has done excellent work for many local businesses.
The mural is our way of saying “thank you” to many of the hard working people from the neighborhood who have frequented the Candlelight over the years. We were not able to include everything we wanted, so look for more paintings in the future. The current mural features some “South O” landmarks such as Hitchcock Pool and the old South Omaha post office. There are also many “Local numbers” included to represent many of the union workers that visit us on a daily basis.
